This is 15 yo M with 9 hours of abdominal RLQ pain. Concern for perforated appendicitis on ACT from OSH. Txn to CNMC ED and found to have an enlarged appendix with surrounding free fluid. Ultimate pathology from OR showed no perforation so this surrounding free fluid represents inflammatory fluid.
